The taxi driver who drove me from the airport to my apartment was truly cosmopolitan.
He had a son in Perth, Australia, a daughter in Wiesbaden, Germany and another son in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
“You need to travel,” he said. “And you need to adjust. The other day my son in Perth had shark for dinner. I told him: ‘Son, you are in Australia, you try shark.’”
