A lunch with two editors-in-chief and a historian - we discussed class struggle. The historian said: "Contemporary moral struggles are nothing but class struggles."
I answered: "The big problem of class struggle and not only of class struggle is solidarity. The real or not so real oppressed often don't manage to live up to the ideal of solidarity. For that reason I believe that most if not all class struggle will end in internal fighting."
The historian said: "The desire to be a victim has never been bigger."
And one of the editors-in-chief replied: "Next time I'll order a gin-tonic."
