The driver said: ‘I used to be hairdresser, but I didn’t want to stand on two feet all day long anymore.’ ‘So, it’s better to be an uber driver than a hair dresser?’
‘As a hairdresser you see a lot of hair,’ the man said, ‘now I see a lot of streets. Lots of hair isn’t too good, but lots of streets isn’t exactly heaven either.’
I was silent for a few minutes, then I asked: ‘Do you want to go back to the barbershop?’
‘Never,’ the driver said. ‘This isn’t fantastic but other people’s hair is just depressing.’
