A couple of weeks ago the Iraq Museum reopened.
Despite the festivities the museum is still closed to the public.
This morning I managed to get in and speak with one of the directors.
I asked him: “Why is the museum still closed to the public?” He answered: “The museum is open to the public.” The Iraq Museum appeared to be not open to the public.
While I was waiting to speak to the director of the museum a suicide bomber killed 28 people in Baghdad.
An Iraqi friend of mine told me that because of all the ambulances he was one hour late for his appointment.
I didn’t notice any further disruptions of daily life in Baghdad.
