We tried

We failed

This afternoon I went to the MoMa to see the Bauhaus and the Tim Burton exhibitions. After seeing the Bauhaus exhibition my friend and I wandered through the museum.
A photo caught my attention. The photo was taken somewhere in the 1930s in an American city – unfortunately I cannot remember the photographer’s name. The picture shows a big sign on a store saying: “We tried. We failed. We quit.”

It’s more than a sign, it’s a philosophy – and if I may say so, a philosophy many people should subscribe to.
