Dawn

Codfish

It’s common for the author to have supper with the moderators, organizers and a few groupies after the reading – at least in Germany.
Usually you go to a restaurant where you eat pasta, pizza or a piece of codfish.
But the organizers of tonight’s reading had arranged that we could eat a delicious soup and an excellent salad in the venue where the reading took place.
This was kind of adventurous.
The organizer – a charming and soft-spoken man – seemed to be disappointed that I went to my hotel around midnight.
But I promised him: “Next time we will drink till dawn.”
