Leverkusen

Intercity-Express

Shortly after my train had left Düsseldorf the conductor on the Intercity-Express from Amsterdam to Frankfurt made the following announcement: “Because this train is not functioning well we have to change trains at Leverkusen.”

Grudgingly the passengers left the train.

To our surprise we noticed that at Leverkusen other passengers were waiting to board our train that supposedly wasn't functioning well.

The scene reminded me of a scene in one of my favorite movies “Les Vacances de Monsieur Hulot” by Jacques Tati.
