Paul Krugman on catchy slogans: “On Friday, House Republicans unveiled their proposal for immediate cuts in federal spending. Uncharacteristically, they failed to accompany the release with a catchy slogan. So I’d like to propose one: Eat the Future.”

“The Future” is one of my favorite Leonard Cohen songs. ("I've seen the future, brother: it is murder.")

But “Eat the Future” is a catchy slogan indeed. Much better than: “Après nous le déluge.”
