New people

Bar

I believe that my neighbor is into couchsurfing.
Every other week I see fairly young people with suitcases leaving her apartment.
In the summer of 2008 together with a friend I experienced some couchsurfing in Europe; one of my hosts told me that the advantage of couchsurfing was simple: she didn’t have to go to a bar to meet people, the people came to her apartment.
Tonight, while I was just about to enter the elevator my neighbor shouted from above: “Meet my new friend.” I looked up; my neighbor laughed impishly.
Of course, I said hello to her new friend. Then I whispered: “I have to go, I’ve an appointment.”
