Hotel

Dutch

After the literary event in Bruges a psychologist approached me. He said: “I work at a local hospital. One of my clients is a boy from Afghanistan. He lost all his family and he doesn’t speak Dutch.” I didn’t know what to answer, so I said: “That’s terrible. Let me sign your book.” I signed his book, I shook his hand; then I signed a few other books and finally I went back to my hotel.
