My last hours in St. Louis I sat in on a class the author Ilija Trojanow was teaching at Washington University in St. Louis.
One of the students had made a cake, it was Trojanow’s last class.
At the end of the class the students wanted to know more about the meaning of life.
I answered: “All meaning is fiction.”
And Trojanow said: “That’s what I’ve been saying all those weeks.”
