My emigration lawyer is a man with a nice sense of humor. This afternoon I visited him and he advised me to postpone my application for a green card and instead of that to renew my 0-1 visa.
One of the commentators on this site recently asked when I would state the US as a major cultural influence on my work. My answer is simple: “When I have a green card.” I very much believe in reciprocity.
