Involvement

Operations

Zvi Bar’el writes in Haaretz: ‘The notable difference in the preparations for this war lies in the fact that, unlike the wars it has waged in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as against the Houthis, the United States hasn't sought to form an international coalition. This time it will be an “American war” in which even Israel's involvement is uncertain.’

According to Bar'el Trump has made Iran a ‘“personal” target.’

With this president all targets are personal.

Bar’el adds: ‘Saudi Arabia and Qatar have made it clear that they will not allow their territory to be used as a launch pad for offensive operations. And these are countries among the closest to Trump’s heart and pocket.’

And: ‘Regime change in Iraq created uncontrollable chaos that included, among other things, ISIS’ taking over of parts of the country.’

Iran, a failed state in the making—with some American help.
