In a restaurant with a beautiful outdoor café in the city of Zielona Góra I ordered a herring carpaccio. It was the first herring carpaccio in my life; the taste was reasonably good. The waitress was immensely charming, which helped the herring carpaccio a lot. Once again my suspicion was confirmed: the restaurant business is not about the food but about the “servants”.
Soon we will have specialized restaurants where you can watch other people eat. That's the only reason you go there, just to watch other people eat.
The future is secondhand enjoyment.
