I had left my mother alone for Rosh Hashanah – another reason to repent I assume – and when I saw her this afternoon the rabbi had just left.
As usual in the afternoon she was watching Dr. Phil.
“How was the rabbi?” I asked.
She had a baffled look on her face.
Then she answered: “A nice man, but now I’m watching Dr. Phil.”
