The owner of the bookstore in Ravensburg where I was reading tonight was wearing hearing aids for the first time. “It's making things worse,” he said when he picked me up.
His wife was as passionate as two years ago (see also: here) and the daughter of the bookstore owners and the ladies and gentlemen working for the bookstore were as charming and delightful as possible.
And then finally I met a man in person with whom I had exchanged e-mails for several years. He is living with his family about 50 miles east of Ravensburg. Over coffee after dinner we talked about Aulendorf, a town not far from Ravensburg, where they organize readings in a sauna. Before I retire I would like to give a reading in the sauna of Aulendorf.
