“Are there children in your party?’ the maître d’ at the Indian restaurant Tamarind asked worriedly.
“No,” I answered, a tad flabbergasted.
Then I noticed a warning on the website of the Tamarind restaurants in New York: "The restaurants have a policy of no children under 5 years of age."
One could argue that this is discrimination against parents with young children.
