Cease-fire

Amos Harel in Haaretz: ‘The president not only halted the war in Iran, contrary to what Netanyahu would have desired, but also forced a cease-fire on Israel in its fight against Hezbollah. (…) Statements and leaks from around Trump indicate a measure of disgust toward Netanyahu and even occasional humiliation.’

And: ‘Trump imposed a full cease-fire in Iran, a nearly complete cease-fire in Lebanon and less intense fighting (in the guise of a cease-fire) in the Gaza Strip.’

Also: ‘Netanyahu is trying to get Trump's attention, publicly, even before the summit. (…) It will soon be clear the extent to which Trump is attentive, if at all, to such warnings.’

A measure of disgust. I’m afraid Trump won’t be receptive to Netanyahu’s warnings. After all, he is busy surviving himself.

Israel may soon need to find a different protector than the US.

It’s well on its way to becoming another Serbia.
