Idea

Afternoon

This afternoon my godson rented a snowboard, shoes, and a helmet. (Well I helped him rent the equipment.) And we bought snow goggles, but his snowboard classes won’t start till tomorrow so I said: “Let’s take the train.” I love trains, especially Swiss trains. My godson wasn’t very enthusiastic about the train ride, but nevertheless we went to Filisur. It’s only 30 minutes by train from Davos to Filistur. I suggested that we should explore the village, but my godson said: “I’m not staying here. There’s nothing to do in Filisur. Can’t you see it?”
“But that’s a good sign,” I said, “that’s why you go to the mountains, you don’t go there for ski or après-ski, you go there because there’s nothing to do.”
My godson won the fight; we took the first train back to Davos.
