In the small but charming and interesting Kirchner Museum in Davos there is a Philipp Bauknecht exhibition till April 19.
It was my first acquaintance with Bauknecht, and a pleasant for that matter.
His paintings of Swiss farmers are unsettling, raw and primitive, and some of his Swiss landscapes reminded me more of Bolivia than of Switzerland.
In the heart of Europe the other continent starts; the darkness is inside our ski resorts, Bauknecht must have known this.
