Woman

Six months ago I got a message from a woman who said that my novel “Tirza” was basically about her family.
She could support the claim with facts.
Tonight she came to my hotel, she brought a laptop and she presented me with a list of three of four pages with similarities between my novel and her family.
The question was: “Had somebody give me information about her family?”
The answer was no. Of course one might think, this woman is crazy or looking for therapy.
There are many people hoping that novelists are moonlighting as therapist. (And yes, I’m moonlighting as therapist but only between Christmas and New Year’s Eve.)
No, she appeared to be perfectly normal, intelligent and beautiful.
After approximately two hours (one glass of wine, one glass of water) she left and I could not help but think: what was she looking for?
