On Friday evening I handed out The Golden Calf, a kind of Golden Bear but on more modest i.e. Dutch level, in the category long documentary.
The cocktail party afterwards was modest as well, several men and women started a conversation with the words: “We met a couple of years ago in New York.” Or: “we exchanged a few e-mails in 2009.” I couldn’t recall any of these mails or meetings, but probably I’m getting old.
I waited till 1 A.M. for a truly indecent proposal. The most indecent proposal came from a male politician. He said: “I’ll give you my mobile number, call me when you need me.”
