After the interview in Kortrijk Mieke invited me over for lunch. Her mother and two of her nieces were invited as well. Well, invited, Mieke is living with her mother.
There was pumpkin soup (delicious) and sole (also better than in most restaurants).
"Once a week my mother and I prepare a meal for a guest," Mieke said. "Don't take it personal."
"I won't," I promised.
