According to CNN Teatro Manoel in Valletta is one of the 15 most beautiful theaters in the world. CNN may be right.
Tonight, I went to Teatro Manoel to listen to, among other pieces, "Dust on the Path" by Josheph Vella. It was my first encounter with Joseph Vella, but a very pleasant one. According to his own website Mr. Vella is "generally considered to be Malta's leading contemporary composer." Probably he is. And as far as I'm concerned he can compete with leading contemporary composers from other countries as well.
