I saw "Vita Activa: The Spirit of Hannah Arendt" in Film Forum.
The original footage was impressive.
Her niece asked about her ongoing friendship with Heidegger. Arendt replied: 'Es gibt Dinge, die stärker sind als ein einzelner Mensch." (There are things that are stronger than a single human being.)
I assume that Arendt was referring to 'love" or perhaps to a special kind of love. But most things are stronger than a single human being.
