Trains

Unwanted

A friend told me over dinner: "Sometimes people give me their books and I dispose of them in trains. I cannot schlep with alle those books I never asked for in the first place."
"I would feel guilty," I answered.
I gave my friend my last novel.
We had a terrific dinner. Then we walked to the nearest subway station.
Suddenly my friend shouted: "I forgot your book."
He ran back to the restaurant.
I said: "You can dispose of unwanted books in restaurants as well."
But he didn't hear me.
