The week in hate in NYT:

'A Jewish couple in Rockville, Md., received a note including a Star of David and the word “Jew” in German on Saturday, after they hung a Black Lives Matter banner outside their home. “Your lack of care and racism is very annoying and disgraceful and for this we would like to award you a gold star,” the note said. “Enjoy the mayhem.” Police are investigating the incident as a hate crime.'

It's a phenomenon that's widespread. According to some bigots Jews are not entitled to fight racism, they should limit themselves to fighting anti-Semitism. When I think of certain messages I got from readers in the Netherlands this belief is quite popular.
