This is not a typically American paradox. I bet that most voters in Europe who are willing to vote for national-marxist, neo-fascists, extreme-right, or how you want to name the gravediggers of the postwar order are mainly satisfied with their governments. They just have forgotten that being alive means very often being disturbed.
