This evening I got an e-mail: "There is a leakage in your mother's house."
I called my girlfriend, who is presently living there, but there were no plumbers available. Apparently there were many leakages in the city.
I was reminded of my interview with the painter Karel Appel, back in 1995. He said: 'If you own something you are already with one foot in prison."
Mr. Appel didn't seem to like me very much, but he was in awe with the boots of the woman who was accompanying me i.e. my girlfriend at that time.
