Notary

Damage

A meeting at the public notary in the southern part of Amsterdam. More than four years after her death my mother's estate has been divided between my sister and me.
My sister wasn't present.
The public notary said: "If your sister is gonna change her mind in twenty years or so this document might prevent some damage. I'm not talking about emotional damage."
"Well," I said, "I don't think my sister is gonna change her mind. She has better things to do."
