Denial

Road

And here is Amos Harel on how Trump's "peace plan" will lead to a single, bi-national state.

"Now, despite the lip service paid to it in the official text, peace is not the aim but rather perpetuation of the settlement project in the territories. And this, in the way that it is planned, also entails denial of the fulfillment of the Palestinians’ national rights. Thus, despite the stipulation of a Palestinian state as a goal down the road, the vision of two states will be buried – and the road will be paved to the establishment of a single, bi-national state."

Trump or no Trump, a two-state-solution is almost unimaginable.

And if you compare the Camp David Accords of 1978, signed by Begin, Sadat and Carter, and read what was written in these accords about Palestinian rights and aspirations, indeed, Begin by today's standards has suddenly become a left-winger. What was extreme then has become normal today, not only in Israel. We made a sharp turn to the right.
Well, we know what came after Camp David, Egypt had to leave the Arab League, Sadat was killed and what remained of the Camp David Accords was a rather cold peace between Israel and Egypt and the return of the Sinai peninsula to Egypt.

Yes, it's only a matter of time before the single bi-national state will come into existence. But time sometimes goes slowly. And the birth of this single, bi-national state might be a bloody mess. Anyhow, Trump will be largely forgotten by then.
