I'm looking for a new assistant. Today was day two of talks with the candidates.
One of the candidates brought a pie, all the way from Limburg. If my memory is not fooling me, he said that the pie was a delicacy of the city of Roermond. And indeed, the pie was delicious.
The candidates without pies were also more than promising.
Keep in mind, when you apply for a job maybe bring a pie to the job interview. It can be disastrous – it can be the beginning of a new life. Which is not to say that the person with the pie will be my new assistant. Just that a pie helps.
