Two nights ago an elderly couple walked into the dining room of the Badrutt’s Palace Hotel in St. Moritz.
They were both well in their eighties but still meticulously dressed. The woman looked like an aging movie star.
They dined within thirty minutes.
In the elevator I had overheard them speaking Italian, but in the restaurant they were utterly silent.
