Advice

Age

During q and a in Nettetal an older woman seated in the front row said: “I know I'm not supposed to ask this, but you are not a lady so I can ask the question. What’s your age?” I answered the question and added: “Why are you interested in my age? Do you want to get to know me better?” While I was signing some books the same woman offered me a piece of advice: “You should get married to a young woman.” I might misinterpret her words, but my feeling is that she meant that marriage would prevent me from writing novels that don’t live up to her expectation of the novel.
