This morning after a long flight from Delhi to Newark an immigration officer asked me: “How many girlfriends do you have?” I answered: “Presently just one.” Perhaps this immigration officer has an inquisitive mind but I do hope that it was not just this particular officer’s hobby.
I find it reassuring that the US government is showing interest in the quantity of my girlfriends.
