Scapegoating

Typically

Last night over dinner I engaged in a conversation about Adam and Eve.
“What’s the original sin?” a lovely lady asked. “It’s that Adam runs away from what he has done and that he subsequently blames his wife for his own mistake.”

“Typically male,” I said.
“That’s not the point,” the lady said. “The original sin was scapegoating.” We drank red wine, white wine and champagne rosé and to the best of my knowledge we didn’t do any scapegoating.
