The movie “The Hurt Locker” got very good reviews, and rightly so.
The movie opens with a quote from Chris Hedges’ book “War Is a Force that Gives Us Meaning”: “The rush of battle is a potent and often lethal addiction, for war is a drug.” “The Hurt Locker” gave me visceral feeling of being (back) in Iraq -- and strangely enough also a sense of freedom.
