Dining experiences in Madrid:

The Dutch embassy in Madrid invited us – a couple of Dutch authors, translators and other people connected to literature in one way or the other – for a dinner at restaurant Teatriz.
The restaurant is definitely swanky; the wine was good enough and the food was more than reasonable.
I didn’t pick up the check, but according to the menu the prices are reasonable.
Compared to restaurants in New York, Paris, Amsterdam, Dublin, Dubai and Vevey restaurants in Madrid are cheap.
