Jack’s Luxury Oyster Bar, also named J L O B, is a tiny restaurant in the East Village.
I don’t eat oysters. I ate a bad oyster at the River Café in Brooklyn in the presence of my former secretary. I believe it was the summer of 2000. My former secretary was a strange lady. She didn’t accept money, she said: “Buy some boots for me.” The service at J L O B is excellent, the food is outstanding, even though I cannot eat oysters anymore.
