Push

Labor

I went to the doctor for a medical exam. The doctor needed to take a blood sample.
“I tend to faint when I see needles,” I told the nurse.
The Russian nurse was very understanding and caring.
She said: “Lie down, relax and enjoy the flight.”

I closed my eyes.

After a while I heard the nurse say: “Don’t leave me, stay with me. Push as if you are pregnant, push as if you are in labor.”

I didn’t dare to open my eyes.
“Why should I act as if I’m in labor?” I asked.
“This will prevent you from fainting,” she said.
I felt the nurse pushing my legs upwards.
For a few seconds I really thought that I was in labor.
It was a truly amazing experience.
