Last night I had a talk with Lila Azam Zanganeh, author of “The Enchanter –Nabokov and Happiness” – a delightful ode to Nabokov's work.
We talked about transgression and love, among other things.
This morning Lila said to me: “I don’t consider you a Dutchman; to me you are much more German.”

“I am,” I answered.

Perhaps one day somebody will write a book, entitled “The Sorcerer – Grunberg and Uplifting Misery.”
