Maialino is the name of the restaurant at the Gramercy Park Hotel.
Today, during lunch hour Maialino was fairly empty.
The Tonnareli Cacio e Pepe was reasonably good, but I have to add that Sfoglia on 92nd and Lexington makes a far better Cacio e Pepe. The Torta della Nonna was disappointing, especially the aftertaste of the Torta della Nonna was horrendous, as if somebody had sprayed the Torta della Nonna with insecticide. The espresso macchiato was almost undrinkable, but the bartender was charming.
I went home and listened to Laibach, then I took a nap.
