Kindness

Job

Last night I was checking in for my flight from JFK to Dublin.
A Delta Airlines representative told me: “Your suitcase is bit too heavy. It’s 79 pounds.” “That’s fine,” I said. ‘I’ll pay.” "No sir,” she said, “we don’t accept anything above 70 pounds, you have to remove some items from your suitcase.” “I would love to pay for it,” I said.
“Do you want me to lose my job?” “No,” I said, “definitely not.” She watched while I was rummaging through my belongings. Finally I took out a few books.
“That’s enough,” she said. “Now I can accept your suitcase.” She was really kind.
