Last night I saw the play “Ludwig II” (produced by the Münchner Kammerspiele) based on Visconti’s movie.
The actors were amazing, the set was extremely effective and the director (Ivo van Hove) was fluent in the language of royalty.

I left the theater with a hint of melancholy. They don’t make kings like Ludwig II anymore.
