I was struck by this sentence in an article by Mark Mazzetti on the front page of Friday’s NYT:
“The C.I.A. is not getting out of the killing business anytime soon.”
(Read the complete article here.)
I always thought that the C.I.A. was in the spying business.
Son: “I want to be a dentist, daddy.”
Father: “No, son. That’s a bad idea. Go into the killing business. Even when the economy is down the killing business is up.”
Son: “Okay, daddy. I love you.”
Father: “Love you too, son. And remember: never kill pets. They are innocent.”
