The lady at the shoe store complimented me on the shoes I was trying on. “I’m from Paris,” she said. “You can trust my opinion.” She looked me in my eyes. “This is what you need,” she said.
And then she asked: “How are you paying today?”
“Credit card,” I answered.
I love the economy of intimacy. If we all make an effort intimacy can be so efficient.
