“Would you like to start with champagne rosé?” the waiter at Hotel de l’Europe asked. “Because of the gay parade next week we suggest champagne rosé this week.” My friend said: “I’m more into red wine.” “But champagne rosé has nothing to do with red wine, you can safely drink it,” the waiter insisted.
I decided that it was time to end this conversation.
