Yarmulke

A friend of mine tweeted that he couldn’t find his yarmulke, and that’s why he missed the Kol Nidre service last night.
Let’s say that I was unable to trace my yarmulke as well last night.
But this afternoon I went to my mother; she is not able to fast anymore. The rabbi had told her that according to religious law those who are not able to fast should eat well on Yom Kippur, they should consider this day a holiday. (The rabbi is right; I remember this from my childhood when I studied religious law.)
I’m not sure if my mother ate really well, but she enjoyed the asparagus soup.
