Dingolfing, a small town in Bavaria, about 65 miles north of Munich, is famous for a huge production facility of automobile maker BMW. The town of Dingolfing is also host to the last “Volksfest” (people’s fest) of the season.
This evening I spent a couple of hours at the Kirta in Dingolfing, the Dingolfinger variant of the Oktoberfest.
Bus as my friend from Munich said: “This festival is more authentic.” The beer was cheaper in Dingolfing and people watching was at least as rewarding in Dingolfing as during the Oktoberfest. I was tempted to dance, but I didn’t drink enough.
