Aphrodite

A rainy day in Cyprus – we went by taxi to the city of Paphos. The stores were all empty but our taxi driver complained about the Turks and 1974, not a word about the banking crisis of last year.
Some elderly English tourists sat in café-restaurant Tea For Two. The toast (the waiter and the menu insisted on calling the toast "toasty") looked yummy, but I ordered an omelet.
The birth place of Aphrodite was devoid of tourists -- that made the rock only more impressive.
